Information Collection and Use
When you visit our website you may provide us with two types of information: (i) personal information you knowingly choose to disclose that is collected on an individual basis (“Personal Information”), and (ii) website use information collected on an aggregate basis through a website statistics program as you and others browse our website (“Use Information”).
Website Statistics Gathering
From time to time Just Enduring collects certain Use Information from our servers that relates to the use of our website, including but not limited to Internet Protocol addresses, Internet domain names, the web browser and operating system used to access the website, the files visited, the time spent in each file, and the time and date of each visit. We use this information to improve our website, for example by enhancing pages or features that are visited frequently, and on occasion we may share this information with our affiliates or other third party companies to provide them with an indication of the amount of interest in our website for advertising purposes and to help us plan for technical improvements.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

We may collect payment and financial data in order to fulfill a donation or purchase that you make from us, such as your debit or credit card details (cardholder name, card number, expiration date, etc.) or other forms of payment (if such are made available). We or our payment processing provider(s) handle payment and financial data in a manner compliant with applicable laws, regulations, and security standards, such as PCI DSS.
- Demographic Data. We may collect data that describes your demographic characteristics, or those of your family members. For example, you or your child’s date of birth, date of death, age or age range, gender, and geographic location (e.g. zip code). In some cases, this could include data that you give us about someone else. For instance, this may include data about your child’s health or medical conditions at the time of their death. This may also include times where you provide a friend’s email address for our programs or services.
- Third-Party Social Networking Data. We may collect any data that you share publicly on a third-party social network or data that is part of your profile on a third-party social network (such as Facebook) and that you allow the third-party social network to share with us. Examples include your basic account data (e.g. name, email address, gender, birthday, current city, profile picture, user ID, list of friends, etc.) and any other additional data or activities that you permit the third-party social network to share. We receive your third-party social network profile data (or parts of it) every time you download or interact with a Just Enduring web application on a third-party social network such as Facebook, every time you use a social networking feature that is integrated within the Just Enduring site (such as Facebook Connect), or every time you interact with us through a third-party social network. Internet or Other Similar Network Activity Data. This data includes websites and communication usage data. As you navigate through and interact with our websites/apps or emails, We use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain data about your device(s) and your actions. This includes data such as which links you click on, which pages or content you view and for how long, and other similar data and statistics about your interactions, such as content response times, download errors, and length of visits to certain pages, as well as operating system type and web browser type and version. Commercial Information. This data includes the demographic data described above, as well as market research & consumer feedback and consumer-generated content. Consumer-Generated Content includes any content that you create and then share with us on third-party social networks or our website or app. Examples include photos, videos, personal stories, or other similar media or content. We collect data when you register on our website or app. We collect data when you sign up for our emails. We collect data from printed or digital registrations and similar forms that we collect via, for example, postal mail, in-store demos, and other promotions or events. We collect data if you fill out a survey or use other tools on our website or app. We also collect data if you contact us through our website or app, via email, by phone, or through social media. For example, when you leave comments on justenduring.org, we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as your IP address and browser user agent to help spam detection. A “hash” may also be provided to our third-party service. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment. If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included, as visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
We collect data from you passively. For example, We use tracking tools like browser cookies and web beacons. We do this on our website and in emails that we send to you. We collect data about users over time when you use this website. This includes usage and browser data. We may have service providers collect data this way. We also collect data from our mobile app.

All personal information you voluntarily provide to Just Enduring may be used for specific organizational purposes. We collect this information from you for the purpose of matching you with similar parents through our “A Parent Like You” program, scheduling retreats, alerting you to our services, to respond to requests for more information, and to pass on Just Enduring, Inc. news and announcements. If you provide us with your postal address, you may receive periodic mailings from Just Enduring, Inc. via the U.S. Postal Service.
The Personal Information you provide to us when filling out and submitting an online form or requesting us to contact you will be used for the purpose for which it was provided – such as contacting you or processing a request. Occasionally, we may also use the Personal Information we collect to notify you about important changes to our website, new services and special events we think you will find valuable. We will not sell, rent, or otherwise give your personal information to anyone, other than for the purposes mentioned in this Policy or if requested by you. We maintain a strict “No Spam” policy. You have the right to “opt-out” at any time if you do not wish to be contacted by Just Enduring or to review your personal information collected or request corrections. This can be done via email, ads, SMS, phone calls, and postal mailings to the extent permitted by applicable laws. - Advertising, marketing, and promotions. You can opt out of marketing emails by following the instructions provided in each such communication. Please note that even if you opt out from receiving marketing communications, you will still receive administrative communications from us, such as donation or other transaction confirmations, notifications about your account activities (e.g., account confirmations, password changes, and other important non-marketing-related announcements.
Data Protection And Retention
We use reasonable and appropriate security measures as required by applicable law. The transmission of information via the Internet is, unfortunately, not completely secure and despite our efforts to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of the data during transmission through our website/app. It is important that you also play a role in keeping your personal data safe and secure. When signing up for an online account, please be sure to choose an account password that would be difficult for others to guess and never reveal your password to anyone else. You are responsible for keeping this password confidential and for any use of your account. If you use a shared or public computer, never choose to have your login ID/email address or password remembered and make sure to log out of your account every time you leave the computer. You should also make use of any privacy settings or controls we provide you in our website/app.

If you leave a comment on our website, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
