Angelina Anderson, Forever 18
By Marion Areizaga, Angelina’s Mom
Angelina started school at 3 years old at St. Casimirs school in Yonkers, NY. She is the baby of eight kids with six older brothers and an older sister who survived the crash.
Angelina loved to travel and has been to 18 states in the U.S. as well as England and London for her 16th birthday. Angelina wanted to travel the world and spoil her nieces and nephews.
She was all about her family and friends. She was there for anyone that called or needed her.
Angelina loved the JROTC program and was a part of it for four years. She absolutely loved the military balls.
Angelina had a love for animals of all kinds; she rescued three dogs. She didn’t believe in spending a lot of money buying one, when there are many that needed love.
Angelina did lots of volunteer work for the rock church, feeding people of Puerto Rico, car washes, sold candy and more. Angelina started working at 14 babysitting and then got her first job at island H20, then fun spot, Arby’s and at a mental institution in Lakeland.

She graduated with high honors and scholarships. She was starting college in January of 2022 but she was killed on Christmas eve morning by drunk driver.
Angelina was a designated driver that night and most nights. On the night of the crash, one of her passengers managed to push her into the back seat and drove at a high rate of speed with a high level of intoxication. Angelina and her sister were in the car that night. She died in her sister’s arms on Christmas Eve morning in 2021. I’m forever broken without my Angelina.
My life ended the day my Angelina’s did. I am working with her school to try and do something in her name for two students in JROTC. I also did the MADD walk the past two years and got first place for my Angelina Anderson. She was presented an award at SeaWorld last July.
